Educational Goals

The student will have acquired theoretical knowledge of Physics. Furthermore, as far as he/she is concerned, in the specialization of the general knowledge of the natural world, he/she will have developed the necessary skills through the understanding of the relevant applications. Thus, the student will be able to associate these specialized knowledge of Physics with other subjects of the Department of Agricultural Biotechnology and Oenology. At the same time, through the cultivation of metacognition, the student will have adopted modern technological methods and good practices, regarding the acquisition of scientific physical knowledge, information management, decision making and problem solving.

General Skills

  • Search for, analysis and synthesis of data and information, with the use of the necessary technology.
  • Adapting to new situations.
  • Investigative learning and problem solving.
  • Decision making.
  • Working independently.
  • Teamwork.
  • Working in an international environment.
  • Working in an interdisciplinary environment.
  • Production of new research ideas.
  • Project planning and management.
  • Production of free, creative and inductive thinking.
  • Respect for the natural environment.
  • Criticism and self-criticism.

Teaching Methods

  • In the classroom, face to face.

Use of ICT means

  • Basic software (windows, word, power point, the web, etc.).
  • Support of learning process through the electronic platform / e-class.

Students Evaluation

The assessment methods are:

  • short answer questions,
  • open ended questions,
  • problem solving,
  • written work.

The course aims to master the basic knowledge of Physics, as well as life and technology skills

Evaluation criteria:

  • They studied and understood special topics of Physics, which are relevant to the scientific field of Agricultural Biotechnology and Oenology.
  • They acquired more general knowledge, regarding the interpretation of natural phenomena and laws of the surrounding world, information management and problem solving.
  • They can apply modern technological methods, which as practices are supported by specialized knowledge of Physics.
  • They showed an interest in technology, enhanced their metacognitive ability and developed life and technology skills.

The evaluation criteria are explicitly stated and can be accessed by the students through the e-class platform, in the “course description”.
